Fall Sneak Peak

I've been a bad blogger.  Not posting as much as I should, you all know life happens when your busy making plans.  Well I have been busy with work.  The wedding season is winding down and there has been a ton of weddings this fall.  I did have a chance to sew a little last week.  It's a present so here is a peak.

One vibrant  leaf in the middle of  brown.
My daughter and I went for a walk in the woods.  The fall in Maine is so beautiful, I love the way the air smells on a sunny day in the fall.  She took some pictures and my wheels are turning about a new quilt.  What gives you inspiration?

Have a happy fall everyone.   :) Dawn

My Sidekick

I saw this bag and knew I needed to make one of my own.  I did make a few adjustments. The pocket on the front is the flat front pocket but it is shaped like the pleated pocket without the binding.  I also didn't make the strap adjustable, knowing I would never change the position of it.  I love the recessed zipper.      The pellon SF101 gives it just the right weight.  The pattern is very easy to follow and well written.   It went together quick.

I love this fabric.  It is Melody Miller Ruby Star Shining for KOKKA on the exterior and the interior is Cloud 9 Fabrics organic cotton Nature Walk Moss/Earth.  The colors are perfect for Fall.  Do you have a favorite Fall color?  Hope everyone is enjoying Fall.
